I teach grades 1-5 in technology integration. My class specializes in infusing technology projects into everyday learning. We utilize Google apps and a myriad of other web tools to create some awesome things! Feel free to check out some of our great work!

Day 1-2
Assess yourself! Are you a beginner, intermediate, or advanced Minecraft Player? Pick 1 and complete the challenge in single player mode.

Day 3
Time to see the world! You will enter the world and see for yourself where you will be surviving. Be on the lookout for areas where you can shelter, areas of concern, and other important features you want to take note of. After playing in the world we will brainstorm as a group areas to research.
Day 4
Time to research! You will begin preparing for survival by watching a video on how to survive the first night. After watching the video, complete the questionaire.

Student Examples:
Day 5-6
You will now research on your own. Work with your partner on your assigned topic and find resources on the Internet to help you. After or during your research compile your findings into a 2 paragraph report. Your report will need to be formatted correctly, with no misspellings. This final draft will be pasted to a document that all memebrs of the class will have and will be your guide while playing in the world.

Here is a copy of the Venn Diagram you will use with your research.
With a partner, come up with a list of important resources, tools, and supplies the group will need. Use the Minecraft Crafting website to determine the resources you will need for each item. Place each item in the Venn Diagram, whichever resources overlap will become the priority resources that must be gathered first.
