Here is a kick off video for an Oregon Trail sim in Minecraft. The students are given 50 wooden coins and then trade them in the town for supplies. After they are ready they go on the trail and try to make it to the end with as much left in their inventory to start life in Oregon.
In this lesson, 5th graders create a real estate business that builds custom Minecraft houses. They then email this form to a 2nd grader and build a custom home for them in Minecraft. They also work on a budget and pricing for their house.
